We are happy that you found our website. Like most sheep flocks, our flock started as a FFA project in 2000. Some things have changed, but are goals have remained the same, focusing on quality, instead of quantity. We are raising Hampshire and cross bred sheep that are structural correct, level and muscular. This allows us to fit a market where we can provide 4-H and FFA member market lambs that can compete at the county and state level as well as register Hampshire. There is nothing prettier then a perfectly fitted Hampshire in the show ring, however we think that there is nothing more practical then a Hampshire ewe shown without wool to expose all of her qualities.
Within our herd you will find genetics from some of the top show lamb breeders in the country including the farms of McGolden, Overman, Fitch, Ott, Farao, Image, Farinelli, McLain and Leventini. The ram power in the beginning was primarily Fitch. In 2010 we purchase a Leventini ram out of his Cannon buck (Boom Boom) that really change the look of are lambs. We retain a ram lamb from him out of an Overman ewe that was name supreme ram at three county fairs. To move our flock to the next level we brought home three rams from Sedalia: First we purchased Nelssen 10101 from Langemeier Club lambs, he is sired by Miller 0-550 “forty large” check him out on their web-page. Second we purchased an Allred Elliott February ram and lastly a March Ellenbrock ram. We are very excited about our 2010-11 Buck Power for the present and future. We encourage you to stop by and decide for yourself how great these rams truly are.
The fall lambs hitting the ground are out of Leventini buck and the keeper buck and are very impressive, we can’t wait to see what spring will bring. We will begin selling lambs private treaty on January 15th. Please contact us early to arrange a visit and choose your premium lambs. |
